5 reasons why to use CDN – Content Delivery Network in Your Blog
Why do you need a content delivery network (CDN) in your blog or why to use CDN? Get the answer by reading this full post.
I never thought that one day I will integrate CDN in my blog because at initial days I have no idea about what a Content Delivery Network is and how it can improve the performance of my blog. Gradually, when my blog started getting a decent amount of traffic I started facing different problems such as spamming bots were polluting my blog with unnecessary comments and on the other hand, they are also using the resources of my web hosting services which is also affecting the speed of my blog.
On one hand, my blog traffic was booming day by day on the other hand my blog was also the target of hackers and spamming bots. Each day when I used to see my stats there used to be hundreds of suspicious login attempts and spam comments in the spam folder.
Not only the hackers and bots are the problem for a blog, its speed also matters a lot in terms ofSEO. Even though you may have created a well optimized high quality content, you cannot rank until the speed of your blog is not optimized or is slower than your competitors blog.

Why I am writing all these stuffs is because after using CDN you can freak out from all these situation and you can even improve your website speed. CDN helps to prevent spammers and crawling bots from entering your site to protect your blog from spam comments and from attacks such as brute force.
I think it’s enough now, I am coming to the point. So, the point is why to use cdn in a blog. For more clarity and to be more descriptive here I have mentioned 5 reasons to use a content delivery network in your blog.
Before learning anything let’s learn what a content delivery network (CDN) is?
What is CDN ?
A content delivery network is a globally distributed network of server which helps you to optimize the speed and helps to block the threats and spammers from visiting your website.
In simple words a CDN is a collection of distributed servers located in different locations of the world. Whenever a visitor visits a website a CDN delivers the cached content from the nearest location to increase the speed your website.
For example Currently, ITDigitalWorld is hosted on a server located in the United States and most of the visitors are from India, Pakistan and from United states. Therefore, it will load faster if the visitors are from United states because server is located near to them, but the speed will significantly goes on decreasing if distance between the web server and the visitor increases. So, it will load slower if the visitor are from India or Pakistan.
I have used Cloudflare CDN to overcome this issue because it has over 30 distributed server around the world and therefore whenever there is a visitors from south asian countries the cdn serves the cached copy of my website from nearest web server i.e. from the server located at Singapore.

what is CDN and How Cloudflare CDN works
How to add CDN in your website?
Above I have mentioned a brief introduction of CDN now its time to learn its integration process.
Although there are different paid CDN available in the market but here we will use cloudflare cdn because it is absolutely free.
Guys let’s get started with a free plan offered by cloud flare CDN.
Step 1: Go to Cloudflare.com
Step 2: Click on sign up located at top right corner and after filling the required details click on create account now.
Step 3: The next step is to add your website in cloudflare, Just enter your domain name in the box.
Step 4: Now, after adding your website you will get the name servers from cloudflare, just change your name server from your domain control panel to the name server provided by cloudflare.
It’s over now your website is properly configured, now your traffic is passing through cloudflare’s network.
Above I have described the process to add CDN and now it’s time to explain the reasons why to use cdn.
5 reason why to use CDN (Content Delivery Network)
1. Increases website speed
No matter how fast your web server is, it is impossible to maintain same speed if the distance between and web server and visitor increases. As I have already mentioned that my web hosting server is located in US and therefore my website will run faster if the visitor is from US but the speed gradually goes on decreasing if the visitor is from another country.
So, a CDN solves this issue just by distributing your contents are the world. Let’s take a real-time example of cloudflare CDN which is the best and absolutely free content delivery network. Cloudflare has the large collection of 30 distributed servers around the world, you can can find the locations in the above picture. Therefore whenever a visitor comes from India or pakistan it will serve a cached page from the nearest server and this will obviously decrease the request time and will help to increase the speed of your website.
2. Prevents attacks and spamming bots
As I am using Cloudflare CDN because it’s free and I will be talking about its feature of preventing bots and attack . Cloudflare blocks all types of threats like comment spam and excessive bots crawling to malicious attacks like SQL injection and Denial of Service (DOS) attacks. There specially designed algorithm automatically detects the new attacks and protect against all these types of threats to keep your website safe.

2.1. How cloudflare CDN can protect your site?
As I have already mentioned that Cloudflare can automatically detects new attacks therefore once it identifies that there is a new attack it starts its security procedure by blocking the attacks from both the particular website and the entire cloudflare community.
2.1.1. Detail threat reporting
One of the great feature of Cloudflare CDN is that it shows the list of threats that have been stopped from reaching your
website and you can sort them by country origin, threat type and severity. A cloudflare CDN can protect you site from various threats like cross site scripting, SQL injection, Comment spam, excessive bot crawling, email harvester, and more.
website and you can sort them by country origin, threat type and severity. A cloudflare CDN can protect you site from various threats like cross site scripting, SQL injection, Comment spam, excessive bot crawling, email harvester, and more.2.1.2. Block and true List
Cloudflare uses advance technology to collect threat data from variety of sources to build a reputation for every online visitor. The easy customization option in cloudflare allows you to setup a desired security setting for your site and then it’s network stops the threats before it reaches to your website. Similarly, in addition to cloudflare automatic detection, you can easily add the list of ip address, ip ranges or the entire country to your trust or block list.
3. Saves Bandwidth
I have seen many bloggers using limited hosting plans, with limited amount of monthly bandwidth. At initial days it will be fine but gradually when the blog gets popularity and starts getting organic visits then it will obviously be headache for blogger using hosting plan with limited amount of transfer rate.

Yes, it is fine. You can tolerate the situation when all of your monthly transfer rate is consumed by your genuine readers but what if your monthly bandwidth is wasted over spamming bots. Even though spamming bots are not your genuine readers but logically they are consuming the bandwidth of your server and therefore you need to take a proper action to block such spamming bots from consuming your server memory.
To save the bandwidth and resources a CDN lies between the web hosting server and the visitor therefore whenever any traffic arrives at your site it is analyzed and threats are blocked before they get to your website.
4. Fast DNS resolution
Sometime you may face a situation when you want to change your web hosting provider and therefore in order to change your provider you will need to upload your backup files to new hosting provider. Uploading your backup file is not a complete process to migrate your site. I think you probably know that you need to change your name server in your domain name to point towards another web hosting provider.
The domain may take around 24 hours to point towards another hosting provider but if you site is intregated with CDN, you can point your domain name just by changing the ip address in few clicks.
5. Distributes your Content around the world
Cloudflare has around 30 distributed server around the world therefore whenever you make any changes to your website it will automatically make a cached copy of your website and after creating a cached copy it will distribute that content to all of its server located in different locations.
Now your contents have more than 30 copies stored in different locations and whenever visitor access to your site the contents are delivered through the nearest location.
Conclusion
I think you have learnt adequate answer for why to use cdn.
I have been using cloudflare CDN since 1 year because you don’t need to pay a single penny until you don’t want any extra features. I don’t think you need to buy a paid plan of cloudflare for your website because its free plan is good enough to take care of your website. Now, guys its time to boost your speed just sign up for cloudflare and protect your website from bots and threats.
Guys, if you love this post please share it with your friends and if have any queries or suggestion regarding a CDN then please comment below to share your experience.
How to Earn money From YouTube: Earn $100 within 10 days
You may choose blogging or freelancing to earn some few bucks from internet and unfortunately you may get disappointed with the income earned from these platforms. As I was surfing and researching on internet , I found another perfect trick to earn money from YouTube. Six months ago I uploaded my very first video on YouTube but my video failed to get more viewers and now the view is not more than 49. Later on few weeks ago I uploaded another video and finally it was one of the successful video that gained more than 105K views and $100 within 10 days. So, here in this post I am going to write about my personal experience that provides the detail answer on How to Earn money From YouTube and How I made $100 within 10 days.
You’ve probably heard that many people earning thousands of dollars from YouTube partnership program and thought of earning from it. Being a beginner earning thousands of dollars is not realistic fact however you can make enough money if you can upload a video that is searched massively. The question is how to attract the viewers towards your video and the answer is hidden in my personal experience that I am going to write in this post. Therefore, read this full story to get the answer on How to Earn money From YouTube and How I made 100$ within 10 days.
Note: This post is Purely based on my personal experience.
Changed Name of Channel
What I did was started a channel with my name and finally end up with just 14 subscribers. Since, I was not a celebrity to attract viewers to my channel therefore I created another YouTube channel with realistic official name (Explore World, ItDigitalWorld). Again I failed to gain more views but my subscribers were increasing daily, I noticed that my old channel is getting more views than new but the subscribers are not increasing. Therefore finally form this experience I found that before you start your YouTube channel always remember to give an official name
Uploaded Video after Keyword Research
This is the second thing that I did before uploading videos in my channel. I researched for keywords that my viewers are searching for which helped me a lot to determine the keywords that I should include to rank my video on top. As you know that keyword research is an important aspect to consider before writing a blog post likewise it is also very important before uploading any video on YouTube. You should research for the keywords that your viewers are searching and finally add those keywords in your video title and in tags as well as in description. It really works for me when I changed the keyword of my older video, the view was boosted by 80 percent.
Replaced Low quality videos with HD videos
When I was reading a post in a popular blog I noticed a point where it was clearly written that YouTube gives priority to High quality videos then low quality. Before that I used to upload low quality videos by decreasing the size to reduce the uploading time. At that time I was not aware about uploading HD videos means giving more priority to the video. Meanwhile after reading that post I decided to upload only HD videos therefore I started uploding High Quality videos and finally after few weeks I saw my stats were rising daily and my subscribes were also increasing rapidly.
Applied a unique trick to attract viewers
What type of videos do your viewers like to watch? How you can force your viewers to search for the video that you have recently uploaded and How you can force YouTube to rank your video at top of search result? What I did was started following celebrity programs and capturing their programs in my iPhone. For example one day there was a concert of Mohit Chauhan(A famous singer from India) in Kathmandu, for fun I captured and uploaded that video on YouTube. I cannot believe that within 1 day I got more than 10K views and within 10 day my I made $98.3. Later on I uploded the video of Mr. Narendra Modi which I had captured when he visited Nepal. However it was not successful video as previous but till now I made $56.2 from that video.
This trick works fine because when someone one search for Mohit Chauhan latest concert or Mohit chauhan Concert in Nepal there are very few videos that matches the query and due to lack of matching video YouTube shows your video at top which finally increase your views tremendously.
Shared videos on Social Networking Sites
Have you ever heard that sharing is caring and caring increases the priority. I mean to say that even though you don’t have much follower in Facebook or Twitter it doesn’t mean that you will not get views from there. For Example After uploading Mohit Chauhan concert within 3 hours I shared it on my Facebook page having 103 like and you will not believe that within 6 days I got more the 500 likes and 56 share in my video which also helped me a lot to increase my page like.
It is not important that how many followers you have you just share it and wait for the result I am sure that after few days you will only see increasing stats in your social networking page.
Conclusion
However you can earn some few bucks by uploading celebrity videos but in order to make a sustainable channel you have to focus on new concept. You cannot make your living just by using this trick but you can earn some few dollars . Therefore for long-lasting YouTube channel focus on content that you are uploading and try to increase the subscribers as many as you can

The question is still unanswered because Google never allows its publisher to reveal their earning to the public but here in this post I will give you a detailed knowledge of how Adsense pays to its publisher and how much money you can make if you have 1000 daily visitors.
The answer to this question is, It depends . It depends on your Page views, Clicks, Page CTR, CPC, and page RPM. You may find all these terms a bit technical but don’t worry below I will explain it in more detail.
How Much does Google Adsense Pay Per Click on its Ads
In order to calculate or to estimate your Adsense earning you need to know about five different terms used by AdSense and here I have briefly explained each of that term.
Terms you must know to calculate your Adsense earning
i. Pageviews
Pageviews is the term used to identify the time a webpage on a website is accessed by a visitor. It is what Google counts in your AdSense report every time a user views a page displaying advertisement. Google will count one pageview regardless of the number of ads displayed on that page.
Let’s take an example
Let’s say you have a web page displaying three different ads of Google and it is viewed twice, now it will generate two pageviews instead of one in your stats.
ii. Clicks
As the name suggests for the standard content ads click is counted as a number of times visitors clicks on your ad whereas, for link units, a click is counted when a user clicks on an ad on the page of ads, after selecting a link in the link unit.
iii. Page CTR (Clickthrough rate)
CTR = ( Clicks / Number of impressions, views, or queries) * 100%
or example, if you received 7 clicks out of 100 page views, your page CTR would be 7%.
iv. CPC (Cost Per Click)
Cost Per Click is a calculated amount in which advertisers pay publishers (website owner) when the ad is clicked. In simple word, it is an amount spent to get an advertisement clicked.
Advertisers typically bid on keyword phrase relevant to their target commodity or goods and the PPC ads are displayed as banner ads on a website or search engine results with related content that have agreed to show ads.
v. Page RPM (Page Revenue per thousand impressions)
Page revenue per thousand impressions (RPM) is calculated by dividing your estimated earnings by the number of page views you received, then multiplying by 1000.
RPM = (Estimated earnings / Pageviews) * 1000
For example, if you earned an estimated $1 from 100 page views, then your page RPM would equal ($1 / 100) * 1000, or $10.00.
Calculation of How Much does Google Adsense Pay.
Let’s say your content is optimized for keyword “backlink checker” with cost per click (CPC) of $0.04.
And now let’s say you are getting 695 daily page views with around 14 clicks and RPM of $0.72 from this keyword. So, what will be your Adsense earning?
Rough way to calculate your RPM
Estimated earning = CPC x Clicks
RPM = (Estimated earnings / Pageviews) * 1000
Adsense Earning Calculation
Your Adsense earning will be = (Pageviews x RPM)/ 1000 = $0.50
How CPC of each ad are determined
If you are familiar with keyword research, then I am pretty sure that you have already used the adword keyword planner tool. If you haven’t used it before then let me explain you. It’s a tool designed for advertisers to find the targeted keyword to promote their business. Advertisers usually use this tool to determine the search volume and the CPC of the specfic keyword. After analyzing CPC and volume advertiser or marketer will set the bid amount for that keyword.
Note: Larger the bid amount higher the CPC will be.
Let’s say after bidding the CPC for the keyword was $1 and now when someone clicks on your ad instead of earning $1 you will earn $0.68 because the revenue shared by Google is 68% and remaining is Google’s commission.
The Facts about CPC, CPM, CPE
While bidding for the targeted keyword advertisers can also use two different bidding options and they are CPM (Cost Per thousand impression) and CPE (Cost Per engagement). As the name suggests in CPM advertiser pay a fixed price for thousand impressions. Instead of paying for each click advertiser can now choose to pay per thousand impressions.
Recently Google launched a new bid that i.e. CPE where the advertiser will only pay when a visitor completes certain action on the ad displayed on your website. The action might be watching a video, expanding the ad, completing the survey, and etc.
